The Financial Planning Strategy & Solutions team is responsible for defining and executing against the 5-year strategy and growth aspirations of the TD Wealth Financial Planning business. The team provides central strategy and support for over 1,100 Financial Planners located in TD branches, Wealth hubs and over the phone, delivering:

One of the key accountabilities of the Financial Planning Strategy & Solutions team is to create and deliver the overall vision and implementation of Products and Services offerings for the Financial Planning business. This role contributes to the business strategy through managing special projects extending across multiple teams within the Financial Planning Strategy & Solutions team.
Reporting to the VP, Financial Planning, the Senior Manager, Model Design and Optimization will act as a strategic partner and transformation leader. This role will serve as a trusted advisor and executive liaison, driving initiatives that optimize business models and enable organizational change across multiple segments. The incumbent will ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and bridge leadership vision with operational execution.

- Lead initiatives that optimize business models across Field, Off Source, and Direct business segments.
- Drive organizational change and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Bridge leadership vision with operational execution, fostering adoption and sustainment of transformation strategies.
- Develop and execute the model design and optimization roadmap, including communication strategies for stakeholders.
- Monitor implementation of initiatives and regularly communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.
- Serve as a strategic transformation champion, acting as a trusted advisor and executive liaison between SVP, VP, and Region Heads.
- Provide day-day oversight of strategic outcomes, owning materials and collateral to support regular executive update meetings and progress, coordinating with stakeholders on upcoming deliverables, proactive status reporting to Senior Management.
- This role would interact across the organization, both within Wealth and with other OneTD partners, as well as participate in various ad-hoc working committees as a delegate for the FP business.
- Build strong, effective relationships with key business partners across units, including Business Architecture, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, and other lines of business.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business; MBA is an asset.
- Financial Planning field experience and leadership background.
- Relevant change management certifications are an asset.
- 10+ years of experience in project or transformation environments.
- Advanced knowledge of change management principles, methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci), product management, and business transformation.
- Strong understanding of risk management standards and regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate with executive-level stakeholders.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive outcomes through positive influence.
