The Prime Brokerage Group at TD Securities provides money managers the flexibility to trade with multiple brokers while consolidating one master account with our firm. This centralized service lets clients focus on portfolio management and building their business while leaving the operational and administrative matters to us.
This is a high-impact Analyst role situated at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and front-office decision-making within the Prime Brokerage business. The role supports client strategy, revenue growth, and risk management by designing and delivering scalable data infrastructure and analytical solutions.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Prime Brokerage Client Service and Risk Management and will partner closely with Securities Lending, Secured Funding, and control functions (Risk, Operations, Audit). The role plays a critical part in translating complex and evolving datasets into actionable insights, while ensuring adherence to internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver production-ready dashboards, analytics, and reporting tools to support Client Service, Risk Management, and front-office business decision-making
- Lead projects end-to-end , from defining business objectives and data requirements through backend architecture, validation controls, and polished front-end delivery
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines , implementing automated refreshes, validation checks, and governance controls to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous, incomplete, or fragmented datasets into actionable insights supporting client segmentation, opportunity prioritization, capacity planning, and competitive analysis
- Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in existing processes, continuously optimizing analytics infrastructure for scalability and evolving business needs
- Support and execute strategic initiatives , including innovation, transformation, and process-automation projects across the Prime Brokerage platform
- Prepare and enhance management-level reporting , performance metrics, and analytical materials for senior leadership
- Develop predictive analytics and contribute to the adoption of business intelligence tools across the organization
- Maintain, enhance, and refactor existing technical solutions to align with rapidly changing business, regulatory, and client requirements
- Build strong working relationships through cross-functional collaboration with Front Office, Risk Management, Technology, and Operations teams
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics)
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence; experience in capital markets or financial services is an asset
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently structure and execute complex analyses
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL ; experience with VBA is a plus
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying analytical data products , dashboards, and reporting solutions
- Familiarity with financial products and trading concepts (equities, fixed income, derivatives, prime services) is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver high-quality output under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical analysis into clear business narratives for stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to innovate, improve processes, and drive transformation
- High attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong prioritization skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
