About the Job:
Mindwire Systems is seeking the services of a Software Data Engineer for a contract position with one of our Valued Clients.
Client Location: Waterloo/Ottawa/GTA - ON
Working Environment: Hybrid
Statement of Work:
You will be responsible for taking requests from various internal clients, developing solutions using data from a variety of sources and presenting results in an appropriate format. You will be working in a fast-paced and high-volume data-processing environment, where quality and attention to detail are vital. You will be responsible for identifying/validating the upstream data quality issues before building analysis models. You will be working in an agile product development environment, including stand up meetings, regular sprint planning, demos and retrospectives

Requirements and Qualifications:
- • 3-5+ years of experience in the following;
• Fluent writing performance tuned SQL code (MS SQL Server or equivalent alternatives).
• Interrogating data for quality assurance before building advanced data models.
• Advanced programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python (preferred), R, C#.
• Advanced experience on data extract, transform/load processes with a variety of data types (structured, semi-structured) and protocols (e.g. API call using oauth mechanisms).
• Advanced Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, PowerBI etc.)
