What is the opportunity?

Trade Compliance is hiring a Sr. TSA (full stack developer) for building and maintaining an internal web application primarily using Java, Spring Boot and Angular which manages trade alerts coming from various upstream systems. This role adds values by executing the vision of our business partners and furthering their agendas to meet business demands. The individual will ensure that all enhancements and prototypes are built to the specification of the business requirement by the specify deadline. The role aligns within our business and its overall strategy as it provides support and change releases while reducing the number of impact of issues and outages.

What will you do?
  • Analyze, Design and Implement application process in full life-cycle of the project
  • Identify and recommend enhancements in existing application process
  • Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing
  • Participate in peer code review
  • Work within an Agile team to deliver exceptional products
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance engineers to facilitate test automation, investigate issues and provide resolutions
  • Collaborate with production support when necessary to help with production

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Java 8+ development
  • Proven experience with Object Oriented coding practices, including design patterns knowledge, refactoring, clean code
  • Proven experience with Spring framework, Spring Boot and JPA
  • Proven experience with RESTful API and other web services
  • Proven experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework, preferably Angular 6+
  • Proven experience in writing integration and unit tests with Junit

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Hibernate framework
  • Knowledge on Windows (Windows Server, IIS, PowerShell) environments
  • Knowledge of DevOps pipelines (Git, Maven, Jenkins and IBM Urban Code Deploy)
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
