In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Registered Care Aide provides resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures. As part of the multidisciplinary team and under the direction of the Manager or designate, the Registered Care Aide performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration in addition to resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical and recreational needs. Transports residents and performs clerical duties.Shift Rotation/Hours of work:
Days, Evenings - 07:00 to 15:00, 14:00 to 22:00, rotating Haida Gwaii Hospital
is a eight acute bed facility and eight long-term care beds that serves the local population and residents of surrounding villages. Daajing Giid is also home to the Haida Gwaii Cancer Care Clinic. Services include general practice and basic emergency, minor surgery, stabilization of trauma and critically ill patients, midwifery, alcohol and drug counselling, public health and social work services. is located on the shores of the Skidegate Inlet on the southern end of Haida Gwaii with a population of 943 local residents. Daajing Giids is a community full of art and culture.
