Job Description & SummaryA career within Private Company services, will provide the opportunity to help private companies with a range of business advisory needs such as audit, tax compliance, and planning to help improve their operational efficiency and to free up time that can be spent focusing on business strategy. You'll have the opportunity to experience the entire business life cycle of a private company from inception to growth, maturity and transition.
Our team helps our clients design and implement personal and customised service plans that are unique to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals. You'll be assisting the team focus on key issues like wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture and exit strategies.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and aboveBe involved in the financial management of clientsBe actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clientsDevelop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clientsManage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the teamShape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteriaTrain, coach, and supervise team membersContinue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brandAs a Senior Manager you will:Manage all day-to-day corporate tax services and tax consulting services to key clientsPlan, organize and deliver tax planning engagements for Canadian corporations Work with multi-disciplinary tax teams on various projects including tax planning and compliance, international tax matters, tax provisions, and tax modellingAbility to identify opportunities with clients and propose solutions that meet the client's needsLead the development of proposals and proposal teamsEstablish a broad network of relationships, including the opportunity to work with industry associationsSupport the development and coaching of tax professionals and other junior tax staff membersParticipate in, and contribute to, market and business activities, including opportunities for contributing to publications and journalsPreferred skills & qualificationsCPA, CA or other accounting designationCompletion of Levels I, II and II of the CPA In-depth Tax CourseA proven leader with strong business development and entrepreneurial skills Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized mannerSuperior problem solving skills, excellent verbal, written and presentation skillsStrong analytical capability, sound business sense and creative mind that have earned you a reputation of providing excellence in client serviceAbility to manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionalsMinimum years experience required Minimum 6 years of experience in Corporate Tax, preferably specializing in private corporations, with at least 3 years in a management capacity Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified)
