Westland Insurance Group is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a remote Insurance Advisor for our MyGroup division. The Opportunity:

The Insurance Advisor is responsible for the promotion, sales and service of all Insurance products to new and existing client. This position handles a variety of personal insurance cases.

In this role you will:

• Identify client's needs and provide recommendations for the products and services required
• Promote retention of existing clients by providing quality customer service
• Pursue additional product sales on a continuous basis
• Rate new and renewal business utilizing more advanced knowledge of underwriting principles
• Provide accurate and prompt accounting and underwriting functions
• May assist leaders in staff training, statistical reporting and relevant activities or projects
• Written and oral communications
• Provide strong analytical and underwriting skills, including high value home products
• Coach and train junior employees
• Monitors insurance claims and responds to client inquiries.

Here's what you bring:

• 3-5 years of industry experience
• High school diploma, plus one year of formal education is preferred
• Insurance broker level 2 license in province of residence is a must, willingness to obtain licenses in other provinces
• Committed to professional development. CAIB and/or CIP designations, or working towards
• A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
