We currently have a Human Resources Supervisor opportunity within our organization. The person that will be selected will report to the franchisee and will recommend strategic human resources solutions to improve business results. The purpose of the position is to analyze and assist the restaurant with performance and results in the areas of People Planning, Retention and Recruitment and to help develop individual behaviors that will help improve business results by consulting on People Programs and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Strategy:

- Participates in the creation of the HR strategy

- Supports the goals of our business plan

- Contributes to the cost and profit analysis of HR programs

- Attends strategic meetings and events

Recruitment & Retention:

- Plans, coordinates and takes the initiative to promote recruiting

- Follows up on staffing levels

- Analyzes retention and deploys strategies to improve business results

- Enforces appropriate People Policies and Health and Safety procedures

- Ensures safety and performance records are well maintained

- Creates and monitors people systems execution and action plans

- Supports restaurants with succession planning

- Follows up and supports employees with benefits programs

People and Process:

- Advises management on policies, standards and disciplinary actions

- Anticipates, identifies, and assists in the investigation and resolution of crisis management situations (third party interventions, health and safety issues, and wage and hour audits, etc.)

- Collaborates with the franchisee to create competitive salary scales and enhances the organizations Employee Value Proposition

- Conducts restaurant audits to ensure compliance with laws and company employee practices (people minimums/standards, etc.)

- Welcomes all new employees and tracks progress through first 90 days

- Coordinates and follows up on orientations for all new employees

- Coordinates employee recognition and service award programs

- Conducts regular communication sessions with employees

Communication and Education:

- Communicates HR messages through presentations and facilitates meetings

- Conducts and analyzes restaurant employee communication sessions

- Coordinates processes and interprets employee survey results and gives coaching on the action plan process

- Informs and provides coaching to the management team and the franchisee

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- A university degree related to the human resources and/or working towards CRHA/CHRP designation

- At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in a position connected to HR management

- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills

- Ability to take initiative, strong time management skills, and analytical abilities

- High professional integrity and ethics

- Demonstrates superior interpersonal and relationship building skills, indluding the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Previous QSR experience would be an asset

- Experience with immigration programs would be an asset
