Job Skills / Requirements
Typical Job Duties: Provide a high level of customer service in a challenging and dynamic environment. Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with site policies and procedures. Respond professionally to site emergencies (alarms, medical emergencies, fires and other urgent matters). Prevent theft, violence or infraction of rules and regulations.
Prepare and maintain professional and effective reports regarding the activities, security violations, and hazardous occurrences on site. Effectively communicate all suspicious activities, concerns, issues, and events to our dispatch team on behalf of the clients assets.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Basic knowledge of security procedures, handling violent behaviors, and non-defensive communication or willingness to undergo training. Ability to handle private information with a high amount of discretion. Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records. Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations Present a high level of professionalism in the public.
Must be physically able to walk 18 to 20 km/day Must have OPEN availability evenings/nights/weekends/days) Must be bondable Have a High School Diploma and be at least 19 years of age Law and Security training, Police Foundation training, knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, First Aid/CPR certification, and previous experience are considered an asset
