What & Why:

As a result of investment our client is looking to add a data engineer to their growing analytics team. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing the data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection of a variety of data for cross functional teams. Ideally you are an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up.  You will support the development of BI & system solutions, support & maintenance of the BI solution, and manage, develop and upgrade front-office tools.  You will have the opportunity to build industry changing products with highly motivated and intelligent colleagues.


Our client is an industry leader and this team is known for shaping the future of the organization. They are viewed as the team creating products which increase efficiency for their colleagues.  This team has grown significantly in the past two years and has plans of adding several more technology roles to the team within the next year. They value hard work, innovation, problem solving and creativity. This role can be fully remote however, they do have offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal if you would prefer to have a hybrid or full time office space.


You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in data governance, data analysis, data science, business intelligence, or similar roles.
  • Data visualization and data migration.
  • Relational database management systems or foundational database skills, database management system software, Microsoft SQL Server preferred, database such as NoSQL and cloud computing.
  • Advanced SQL Skills - able to write complex and performant queries to extract data from our databases using SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Proficient with, PowerBI, Tableau, or other analytical visualization tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field, or commensurate professional experience
