The Banquet Supervisor ensures that policies and procedures are maintained while directing, evaluating and coaching Banquet personnel for an optimal guest experience. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring an outstanding experience for all guests of all banquets and special events. Attention to detail and a flair are key qualities of the Banquet Supervisor. The Supervisor is the primary point of contact for the client on the day of the event and motivates and leads the Banquet team by example. Above all else, must embrace and be aligned with Casino Nova Scotia's culture and philosophy of providing outstanding entertainment experiences.Job Duties
•Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to Banquet personnel •Supervises personnel to ensure policies are being maintained. •Responsible for implementing and managing labour and revenue targets as set by the Events Manager •Assists in the implementation of strategic plans as directed; •Coordinates and conducts training for Banquet operations; recommends training opportunities and efficiencies; •Coordinates and administers performance management for the Banquet Servers; •As directed by the Events Manager coordinates the screening and selection of new hires; organizes and tracks training process; •Coordinates and supervises the execution of all banquet functions to ensure the restaurant adheres to client specifications and that the function runs smoothly and efficiently. •Submits all outlet related POs and invoices to the Events Manager •Responsible for entering payroll information and ensuring accuracy of reporting. •Communicates effectively with employees, encourages and fosters a teamwork environment. •Ensures the integrity of the Casino including compliance with internal controls, health and safety and other statutory regulations •Responsible for employee coaching and corrective action administration •Assists the Event Manager in coordinating and finalizing event details with clients •Ensures all functions meet the highest standards of service and are executed professionally and efficiently. •Creates and supports GEM moments which position the casino as a leader in the guest services industry. •Coaches employees to be the best banquet team in the market! •Ensures cleanliness and maintenance of all banquet areas
