POSTION SUMMARY

We are looking for an upbeat and outgoing individual to be responsible for overseeing day to day activities of the front of house in the Celtic Junction Restaurant, Beverage service on the Casino floor and functions in our Ceilidh Room Lounge. The Assistant Manager must excel at multi-tasking as they will be responsible for scheduling, coaching, developing staff, delivering performance reviews, as well as budgeting and daily reporting. Must be collaborative and willing to participate in other departmental & leadership tasks where necessary and complete other assignments upon request.

Key Accountabilities:
    •Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the F&B team on a daily basis •Creates department schedule and reconciles timekeeping system for payroll •Participates in the recruitment process and provides input on Performance Evaluations •Promotes/markets the outlet •Responds to and resolves guest/customer issues as escalated •Implements food & beverage strategic plans under the direction of the Manager •Maximizes the revenues of the food outlet while minimizing operating costs including labour •Contacts vendors for supply orders, codes and submits invoices in a timely manner •Sources new products and services and make recommendations for improvements •Participates in administrative tasks such as inventory count and daily/weekly reports •Ensures a safe and secure workplace through a focus on health and safety •Offers food and beverage expertise to internal and external customers •Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments •Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees) •Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations •Performs other duties as assigned or directed. •
Minimum Qualifications:
    •Minimum 2 years Food and Beverage supervisory or management experience •Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education or suitable combination of education and experience •POS experience •Computer literacy in MS office •Strong customer service skills •Strong analytical skills •Flexible with schedule and a team player
